Home is?

Anywhere my husband and girls are!
Give us five words that best describe who you are?

Journalist, mum, runner, wine lover!
How did you end up doing what you do?

I’ve always loved telling stories and I was a radio newsreader for ten years before covering maternity leave as Global Radio’s Showbiz Editor – and nine years later I spend my days interviewing celebrities.
What is the best part of what you do?

I’m always fascinated to meet new people and every day is different. I also love that people tend to be really interested when I tell them what I do!
What was your Plan B?

I’m weirdly obsessed with viruses – I’d have loved to be a virologist!
Professionally, who do you most admire and why?

I am a huge fan of Kirsty Young – Desert Island Discs hasn’t been the same since she left. I love her gentle interviewing style that really elicits fascinating responses.
What is your view of a ‘balanced life’?

I am always rushing around at 100 miles an hour and I love to have multiple tasks on the go at once – but I try to make sure that I see my friends a couple of nights a week, and spend phone-free time with my family as much as possible.
What do you do to relax and enjoy yourself in London?

I’m not great at relaxing but I love to run in North London – Parkland Walk or Highgate Woods are my favourite places to go.
What is your biggest London extravagance?

I am a Soho House member and spend more than I should on their fantastic cocktails!
Where is your favourite place in London?

Our balcony in Highgate looks over the city and at sunrise I’d bet there’s no more beautiful view – I love to sit there with a cup of tea in summer and enjoy it.
