Why do I need to give a contract?
 
Under the Employment Rights Act 1996, an Employee has the right to a written Employment Contract. This must be provided no later than their first day of work. It is against the law to not provide a Contract of Employment.       
What can go wrong if my Nanny does not have an Employment Contract?
 
The absence of a contract can create a lack of certainty regarding the role, expectations and duties. It can result in a breakdown of trust between parties, and disputes that can lead into emotional and legal territory.
 
How does your Bespoke Contract Service work?

We work with you individually to look after what can be a time-consuming process for you, working through four clear stages.
 
1. We will confirm all the details of employment with you, including those often unexpected or not considered elements such as rules on petty cash, visitors (for live in positions), overtime, use of car and travelling with your nanny.
 
2. We create a draft contract for your approval. Once approved, we communicate the draft with your new Nanny to check that everyone is on the same page.
 
3. We act on any questions and amendments to ensure that both sides are happy and clear of expectations. This creates your final contract.
 
4. We then send your final agreed contract for signature by both parties.
