Where is home?

Where my husband and my girls are, a place with the smell of spices and my grandma’s cooking.

Give us five words that best describe who you are?

 Optimistic, energetic, warm, approachable, emotional

How did you end up doing what you do?

I was always interested in lifestyle and healthy food.  After taking a short course at the College of Naturopathy, I brought it into my family home and I decided to professionally qualify as a nutritionist naturopath.  I believe with all my heart that nature offers us so much to help ourselves and our health and I am very enthusiastic to spread the message.

What is the best part of what you do?

Meeting all sort of different people and learning from them.

What was your Plan B?

 Practising as a doula.

Professionally, who do you most admire and why?

I adore Meryl Streep, ignoring the fact she is the best actress and she was nominated for 21 academy awards; she was told in the 1970 she was too ugly to play a role in the King Kong film.  Her response was, “I’m sorry you think I’m too ugly for your film but you’re just one opinion in a sea of thousands and I’m off to find a kinder tide.” My kind of woman! Today she owns 18 academy awards, and did I mention she is a mother of 4 children?!

What is your view of a ‘balanced life’?

Managing my weekly schedule so I spend time with my family and I also get my alone time. As well as having a date night with my husband which keeps the communication going and very precious bonding time. It took me a while to figure it all out.

What do you do to relax and enjoy yourself in London?

Yoga, meeting my girlfriends and walks in the park.

What is your biggest London extravagance?

 Walking in Shoreditch area.

Where is your favourite place in London?

Regents park with my family.
