DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for a wonderful, committed, loyal, and child led creative and more alternative LIVE OUT nanny to join an amazing holistic family who live in Los Angeles but also spend some time in the summer in London. The family live in LA and are in London from around June to mid August. You will spend approximately 2 months in London and the rest of the time based in LA.  They would love a nanny to join their team on a long term basis.

Our clients have three wonderful children ages 6.5, 3.5 and 20 months and the role will involve working in partnership with the mum, who is very hands on and another nanny. You will each focus on one child at a time but at times you may be responsible for two children.

They are looking for a child led nanny who has a Steiner, Waldorf or Montessori, holistic approach and who loves working in a positive way with children providing them with opportunities to learn and grow through learning experiences. They follow a gentler parenting approach with natural consequences and like to talk and explain everything to the children rather than have any strict rules or discipline.

The ideal candidate will be totally focussed on the children and with a positive, proactive, gentle, engaging, and imaginative approach. Both parents work flexibly and often from home, so they want the nannies to be confident to take complete sole charge, take their own initiative and have excellent communication skills to work with the members of the household. The parents love to be involved as much as they can when they are not working.

It is essential you are honest, kind, laid back and trustworthy. The role will include taking responsibility for all general organisation for the children and arranging stimulating and engaging age-appropriate activities. They would also love the nanny to sometimes cook creative healthy, fresh meals for the children and to value their health-conscious diet.

Successful applicants must be happy to live in both London and LA and they will support with obtaining a visa for the USA.

You also need to speak a fluent level of English, be able to swim, and a driver is essential.

They are looking for someone who can offer commitment and be happy to be flexible and work around thew hours they need. The family are in the public eye and are looking for a career nanny who is discreet, safety conscious and works well in a team.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

• All nursery duties

• Minimum of 8 years experience working with multiple children using a holistic child led approach

• Planning and arranging age-appropriate activities

• Preparing healthy meals for the children and cleaning up after

• Keeping all children’s areas tidy and organised

• Taking the children to and from activities/days out by driving (a car will be provided). A driver is essential.

• Travel approximately twice per year

• Liaising with other members of the household and working in a team

• Flexibility to stay overnight if ever needed

• Speak a fluent level of English

• Be able to swim
