Homebodies was founded in London in 2011 with the explicit objective of matching the very best and most suitable nannies to families who led busy and exciting lives.
Homebodies is different from our competitors by being a specialist nanny agency who only focus on recruiting full time nannies, taking our time to get to know you so we can successfully match the nannies we know to your family. About Our Founder
I grew up in Scotland and moved to London to start a career as a teacher in 1997. I worked in primary schools for over ten years and then in a Children’s Centre as an early childhood specialist teacher, supporting parents with their babies and toddlers as well as working with the local nurseries and childminders.
I always had a passion for working with children and I loved supporting parents, so in 2011 I decided to join forces with a friend and we set up Homebodies. During this time I had my first daughter and then when she was only 14 months old my twins we born.
At the time I did not have any family support in London and I recognised that having the right nanny was crucial for my return to work and for my sanity! I had an excellent maternity nurse when my twins were born and I have employed nannies over the years so I have a very good understanding of the partnership and relationship between a family and their nanny.
