About Our Founder
I grew up in Scotland and moved to London to start a career as a teacher in 1997. I worked in primary schools for over ten years and then in a Children’s Centre as an early childhood specialist teacher, supporting parents with their babies and toddlers as well as working with the local nurseries and childminders.
I always had a passion for working with children and I loved supporting parents, so in 2011 I decided to join forces with a friend and we set up our bespoke nanny agency, Homebodies. During this time I had my first daughter and then when she was only 14 months old my twins were born.
At the time I did not have any family support in London and I recognised that having the right nanny was crucial for my return to work and for my sanity! I had an excellent maternity nurse when my twins were born and I have employed nannies over the years so I have a very good understanding of the partnership and relationship between a family and their nanny.
