SALARY: Excellent market rate gross annual salary offered based on previous experience and qualifications

 

 HOURS: Monday to Friday

7:45am – 6:30pm

 

CHILDREN: 2 year-old girl and 8 year-old boy

                      

DESCRIPTION: 

This wonderful family is looking for a genuine caring, loving, and dependable nanny to have sole charge of an almost 2-year-old and her 8-year-old big brother. They also have a gorgeous calm and cute dog who is their third child and would love a nanny who is a dog lover and happy to help walk the dog when the children are at nursery and school.

This is a full-time sole charge position, and the parents would love to find a long-term nanny who will be part of their family as all their previous nannies have been. The start date is flexible depending on when they find the right nanny and they can wait for someone who has a notice period.

The family are looking for a very kind, reliable and professional nanny who loves being active and who genuinely loves their job and gives lots of cuddles. They would like their nanny to offer advice as their children reach new stages and work in a team with them. They would also like a nanny with excellent communication skills and who keeps them updated when they are in the office.

The older boy attends school locally and his little sister is at nursery for a few hours on 3 mornings per week. Both children are active and sociable they love to be engaged in a fun, imaginative and positive way. They value someone who has an educational and academic approach so the children can learn and develop under your care. Both children are in a great routine and are happy and independent.

During the mornings when they are at nursery and school, they would like their nanny to support with cooking fresh healthy meals for the children, nursery duties, dog walking and organising activities or playdates for the children. They also have a daily housekeeper, so they don’t require any housekeeping but expect their nanny to work in a team with her and be proactive.

It is important you have cared for both toddlers and school age children, so you have lots of confidence and previous experience doing a similar role. A confident driver would be ideal for taking the children to and from nursery, school, and playdates but it is not a deal breaker. Parking is available and a car can be provided.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

• Ideally at least 6 years nannying experience with children from 2 years to school age, as well as being able to support with managing the routines for the children as they get older.

• Nursery/educational experience is a plus and someone who has a good understanding and passion for working with and developing toddlers, and school age children. Ideally you have worked with a toddler and school age child at the same time in a sole charge role and can support this wonderful family by working in partnership. 

• Planning and delivering appropriate activities for fun and learning and development, both in and out of the home, such as attending local classes appropriate for their age group, going for walks, organising activities and arranging play dates.
• All nursery duties when the toddler is at nursery and sleeping.
• Cooking and meal planning for the children and preparing fresh and healthy meals.
• Tidying up after the children when in your care.
• Looking after their health and safety.
• Following routines and supporting other developmental milestones.
• Pick up from nursery, school, and afternoon activities.
• Supporting and supervising homework.
• Babysitting if available – advance notice always given - not a deal breaker.

• A driver is preferred.

• Fluent English is essential.
